Hey! I'm Derek, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in Advertising & Public Relations with a minor in Education Studies. After graduation, I plan to use my creative mindset and skills that I learned in my internship and classes to work in a creative agency, focusing on branding and layout, or in the marketing and advertising department for a curriculum development company.
On campus, I am a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, where I serve on our Social Media Committee, where I use my photography skills to highlight various events. I also help design social media posts! Outside of the fraternity, I am a member of the AD Club, where I learn from off-campus advertising professionals. I am also an intern at Kawasaki Rail Car, where I run our media for the Employee of the Month, as well as work with our Production Clerk to run our digital roadside board.
