Hey! I'm Derek, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, double majoring in Advertising & Public Relations as well as Elementary Education. After graduation, I plan to obtain my teaching license to hopefully become a third grade teacher. After teaching for a couple years, I plan to go back to school to get my Masters in Education, as I am a life long learned and want to help make an impact in the lives of my future students. With my advertising background, I hope to promote educational curriculum and local school events, support nonprofits, and advocate for impactful classroom experiences for students.
On campus I am an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity where I serve on our Executive committee. I am also part of the social media team where I use my photography skills to highlight various events. I also design our social media pages. Outside of the fraternity, I am a member of the AD Club, where I learn from off-campus advertising professionals.
