Hey! I'm Derek, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, double majoring in Advertising & Public Relations as well as Education. After graduation, I plan to obtain my teaching license to hopefully become a marketing or advertising teacher. After teaching for a couple of years, I plan to go back to school to get my Master's in Education, as I am a lifelong learner and want to help make an impact in the lives of future students. With my advertising background, I hope to promote educational curriculum and local school events, support nonprofits, and advocate for impactful classroom experiences for students.
On campus, I am an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, where I serve on our Executive Committee. I am also part of the social media team, where I use my photography skills to highlight various events. I also help design social media posts! Outside of the fraternity, I am a member of the AD Club, where I learn from off-campus advertising professionals.
